I believe that's for the ETB though... the Bosch unit in 2002+ cars.

I can pretty much confirm that the codes (ECM-6300 and -6B00) are NOT related to this issue. Since I don't want to leave this thread hanging, I'm going to update it with my solution to those codes (replacing the B+ fuse box cable) and redirect to my other thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=90109&p=515274#p515274

To clarify, my ETM still whines.

Was the issue on this ever located? I have the exact same noise only when the engine is warm. Also a little erratic like in your videos...

It was not. My best guess is that it's coming from the oil pump. The noise is loudest on the turbo oil pipes coming out of that area, and upon checking the oil pressure while it was making these noises, the gauge appeared to move along with the noise changing, so I believe that may be the cause.
I found another thread with a few people talking about this exact noise on another Volvo forum, and they came to the same conclusion as far as where the noise is coming from. Being that my oil pressure is very good, I'm in no rush to do anything about it, but the noise still bugs me so I would like replace the oil pump eventually.
