Didn’t get my coolant hoses done with some of my car time going to inspecting my lower right mount, so I settled on swapping out my TCV and the lines. The lines were in terrible shape.
That one off the compressor was a real pain but definitely glad I did it as it was in the worst shape of all.
I can’t really test out the new TCV as I have to drive like a little old lady until I get my motor mount in the mail, throttle response seems a touch better but that might just be in my head not sure
What did you do to your Volvo today? Topic is solved

I dont know but its worth calling him to find out.j-dawg wrote: ↑11 Mar 2018, 11:59Do you know if he's willing to part it out? I'd be interested in some of the bits and blobs off of it, local enough to make the trip.ZionXIX wrote: ↑10 Mar 2018, 05:01 If anyone is interested my Volvo mechanic Mark is selling a C70 project car in Dallas. It looks like the body panels are in perfect shape. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/6503299546.html

Tried to change out my rear diff fluid but the drain plug is seized. Sprayed it with PB blaster and will try again in a day or two.
Glad I got under there as I noticed leaks at axle seals on both sides of the diff. Passenger side is leaking bad. D side just weeping.
Control arms are really badly rusted from the bottom and Nivomats aren’t leaking but they are rusting out as well.
It never ends...

Careful application of heat should free that up, if it can be done safely

Repaired some more wires with new terminals... this time for the ECT sensor. Maybe my little hiccup will be resolved finally. The resistance was too high for my liking between the ECT connector and the ECU, and it fluctuated pretty severely when I moved the wire. Now it's solid.
Always check your terminals! Old, corroded terminals cause big problems.

For $500 you could buy it and part it out and get your headlights

If a Volvo mechanic can't find $500 of parts in this thing to use on his customer's cars, I'd bet there's $0 worth of parts past the headlights. If the headlights and corners are a ~$300-value set and scrap value is $300, I'm barely past breaking even. Throw in 200+ miles round-trip to Mesquite and I'll just buy them from eBay if I really want them.
