@cuhfs I answered your questions in the post about the transmission; hope it helps.
Released transmission fluid. It came out like molten chocolate. I had previously run 4 litres of solvent through this transmission while it was on the bench and the valve body was spotless inside.
Refilled with another 2.5 litres of trans fluid. Judders in Reverse are gone but I now realise the trans starts off in 2nd gear when in Drive as when I use manual gear selection 1st gear won't take off. This is all done in a 15 foot driveway as not legal on the road yet.
To complete I need to:
Fit a used rear O2 sensor as it was ripped off from the connector
Dump another 3.5 litres and refill with fresh fluid
Perform a repair either to the ABS unit or the ABS pump (will need to delve further)
Reconnect tailshaft to the angle gear
Refit exhaust shield and rear exhaust hanger plate
Fit the used rear body module (already sourced)

One step forward and 2 steps back as far as this one is concerned.
I tore out the motor and placed it in a T5. I still have the injectors, turbo and all accessories so all I need is a long block and new transmission.
Going to drop the subframe on m my wife's 2002 XC70 and transpose everything over apart from the valve body (this car's valve body is fitted in the 2002 so that's probably why that car's transmission is playing up.

Picked up a 2002 auto and engine from a pick and pull as a complete assembly for $356. Car it was sourced from was written off due to a front corner collision.
I jerked it from the top by bending over the ABS unit and fuse assembly. Wasn't too bad. Left the angle gear on during the pull and had some clearance problems at the edge of the wiper cowling however went better than expected.
Need a new water pump. Will spring for a Hepu next week as they come with bolts and it will be a low annual mileage machine..
I'm using a 2002 thermostat and upper radiator hose with a 2001 temp sensor. I have only one potential problem and that is the 2002 crank sensor has a new design and plug. Have to take measures to see if 2001 and 2002 crank sensors have the same impedance.... In order to swap the crank sensor and crank sensor carrier the transmission needs to be separated from engine. Want to avoid this however now is the time for an RMS so I guess I'll just do it..
Yes lots of other projects have come and gone for me yet this one is 3 years in the making

@fixer333 I fitted the LPT motor to a V70 T5 (another project car
)
That one will also be finished shortly now that Spring is finally here.
Some more progress and another step sideways. Broke the accessory bracket by using a short chain instead of a load leveler. Those accessory brackets can't withstand much sideways force on the lifting eye. It was a good thing that it broke only two inches into the lift......have to thank my lucky stars for that.
Hooked up a battery today only to confirm that the sunroof control and extra two reading lamps are still not working so I'll ask Henry for a UEM software reload.
Still need a good ABS pump and a good throttle so another visit to a pick and pull tomorrow should yield some more pieces.

First road test last night!!
ETM hose blew off midway around the block but has great response and transmission will be a real beauty after an adaptation.
Heat shields need to go back on the exhaust manifold and tidy up some wiring. I removed the tailshaft last year and this has given her heaps of pep!!
Can't believe it sat here since late 2012 without being driven.

With a new battery borrowed from my VW Transporter the sunroof and map reading lights sprang back into action today. Need an ABS pump and am not looking forward to bleeding the hydraulic system with so may brake lines leading from the pump unit.
I picked up a HU-803 4 disc head unit from a pick and pull for $40 the other day. Does anybody know if this head unit will simply sit in place of the HU-613 without the need of a rewire or extra amplifier?

You need the underseat amp, harness and a center speaker.
The center speaker is pre wired on P2s so that is plug and play..... but until you get an amp and harness all that will play IS that center speaker as it is powered by the HU
Good luck in finding one over there
