For those using Volvo OEM PN 30713305, how long does it last?
Does it last 100K or so?

I replaced mine at almost 218K miles and it was the original. It was bulging but not leaking. What prompted my hose replacements was the heater hose. The upper one had sprung a leak. Based on my experience, I would say you will have no trouble getting those to last 100K miles.

I would say that is a good number. My 850 at 160km and S70 at 225km both showed signs of bulging when I replaced the coolant turbo outlet hose. One cause I believe besides the super hot coolant as it is the outlet and over tightened clamps from the factory. Screwdriver tight is all you need.

The original factory hose didn't have the white insert which is maybe why they bulged. The replacement hose does and it adds a lot of structural integrity, the hose is very stiff unlike a regular rubber hose. So it helps with the pressure and is probably higher temp rated as it takes really hot coolant from the turbo.

If you keep the reservoir cap closed you don't have to drain the coolant to change it. Anti seize on the bolts makes them easy to remove. Definitely Volvo OE hose only

Just replaced the Short Coolant Hose PN 30713305.
About $9 at dealer, made in Spain, it has an inner sleeve which is white. My guess is that the white material is silicone.
Anyway, this hose should last some 100K+.

Recently replaced all the original coolant hoses, save for the two going to the heater. They were 18yrs old. Both upper radiator & lower coolant tank hoses were very soft & squishy and shredding inside. I'd previously replaced the turbo coolant outlet hose years ago, but it was due again.

While underneath the car, laying on my back, fussing with the backwards clamp on the turbo inlet coolant hose, it dawned on me to just remove the banjo bolt and take those two parts out. Much easier that way. I also employed my friend Mr. Razor Knife to slit the end of the hoses to make removal far easier. Further, decided to also replace the lower turbo pressure hose (RED), connecting to the TCV. It had been evading me for years now along with that stupid little green clamp that persisted in constantly slipping from my pliers. I wasn't able to pry it off. Instead I took a sharp wood chisel and shaved off the entire bottom of the hose. Never realized that little metal tube was THAT long. Small wonder the tubing had solidly fused to it. Then pried up both edges with the long screwdriver to FINALLY remove it! Replaced it with silicone tubing.

I ordered all new OEM hoses from myswedishparts for a very reasonable price. Now with these done, a new t-stat gasket & resealing the WP with a new gasket and a new coolant tank cap, the sled is leak free! No more coolant puddles on the garage floor!

This thread was a BIG help in accomplishing this task, without getting covered in coolant. Thanks to all for your suggestions!

Update re SHORT hose PN 30713305 (right behind cylinder head area)...

Just replaced the Turbo outlet hose on my 2004 V70.

Per FCPEuro, PN 31439471 is interchangeable with 30713305. 30713305a, 30713305, 31104675.

Photo showed "Silicone Insert" as in the photo below, but when I received it, the plastic bag clearly says Volvo Genuine part.
But, I ordered the one on the LEFT, but received the one on the RIGHT (in the photo):

1. It is no longer made in Spain, it is now made in Turkey.
2. The Silicone insert is no longer there, it is just straight rubber hose as far as my eyes can tell.

Looks like good quality but the question is, has anyone noticed that Volvo switched from "Silicone Insert" (Spain) to "no Silicone Insert" (Turkey)?

We have two data points:
songzunhuang at 228K miles (369k km)
Auburn T5 at 175k miles (283k km)

I think climate would affect the failure rate, the hotter the climate, the more likely to fail.

I live in Arizona and all of my hoses back there around the turbo were slowly leaking by just over 150k. The one to the small heater core hose was spraying across the engine bay onto my passenger cv boot which was what prompted me to replace all of them.

My question is on Turbo Coolant Inlet Hose PN 6842190: do P2 cars with 2.5T engine have something like this?
