Too modest! Pulling a VR6 engine out of one of the most inconvenient body designs (EuroVan), plucking the engine, separating the transmission, replacing timing chains and a torque converter, and putting it all back together (well, almost) qualifies as a 4 for sure.

Or at least it will once it's all back under the hood, so maybe a 3.75 for now. :)

I'm probably a 2.8 or so, with at least 0.8 of that from watching you!

But I'm deathly afraid of pulling a head! Putting that in the 4 category really changes things.

Poll seems accurate thus far (e.g., the 4s). Though, I think they're quite a few more I'd consider 5s.

Picking a T4 is great if you take off the front clip - please tell me you did that...

Just found this poll. I rate myself a 3 on Volvo products - classic and modern. If I include other vehicles of all ages, I can advance to a 4. I have rebuilt heads and bottom end of a Farmall tractor and a Ford V8.
Matt's comments on the statistical accuracy of this poll are likely correct. Most people on this forum will likely give themselves about .5 derating. Also, MVS does not likely attract registered users that have no skills at all, so there are no reported 1's. However, readers with no skills may read up on problems without registering.

I have assessed myself a 1/2 river penalty for the wheel bearing incident

But have redeemed myself with a 3 hour engine pull.
