Having the seats out of the car makes it a whole lot easier !
This is my second time pulling a dash and it felt easier than last time. This one had one broken mount, that's 1 out of 8 so far

Whoa, what kind of building/garage is THAT???
If the unpainted wall to the right of the storage area is cinder block it's an underground bunker
Very Very nice! A larger garage is on of the reasons I'd like to move.scot850 wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 19:28 With all the treat of war these days, doesn't everyone have a concrete bunker under the house??![]()

The original owner of the house added to the back of the house which has 2 rooms up joining the main floor and the original 14 ft x 26 ft garage which you can walk into from the basement. Problem is the door is only just over 6ft high so you can't park any larger SUV in there like the 4Runner. When we downsized my only condition was there had to either be a large garage or room to build one. This had the original garage built into the ground at the back, hence the concrete walls. Due to 'complaints' from someone (we know who) the city said that old garage had to be partitioned and be called a 'storage' area and then the new shop/garage could be built. So the storage area is now a workshop for smaller jobs and storage for things like a car..........!![]()
The original door is still there for the old garage as added security. I had planned to remove it but the 'boss' was more comfortable leaving it there and it gets closed every night.
This is the 'old' garage:

This has been a 50+ year dream for when I retired and now it is mostly in place. Still some fine tuning and sorting to go!
