Well, presently in my extended family we are running

1998 v70 NA m56 with some bastardly features
1999 S70 NA full bastard
1999 V70 NA full bastard
1999 S70 AWD AT full bastard
1999 T5 M56 full bastard
And a 2000 M56 parts car

Combined mileage 990,000 miles

Vida says to remove oil lines….on any car in weather getting these off without dropping the subframe is a fools errand. These hoses cost $125-300 each, so plan carefully.

Information

The power steering supply line routes pretty close to the -1998 version, but the fitting at the pump is different.

The power steering return line is completely different as the reservoir moves, it comes up aft of the engine. The fitting on the return line to the rack changes to soft alloy which you have to be really careful not to cross thread or round off.

Threads are the m18x1.5 to be confirmed and the seals are o-ring flange on the ps lines

Appearance of the biscuit oil cooler

Turbo models 1999

NA models 2000

Might be an engine number break on this item

Noteworthy that the 1999 NAs didn’t get the biscuit oil cooler. At least not my early engine number models. Then magically,in 2000, they appear. More info for the bastards thread.

I didn't think the NA's had an oil cooler, only the Turbos. Wonder why they would have added it to the 00 year?

I don't remember, they probably added it on NAs eventually (likely 2000). I know the early NAs didn't have the radiator mounted oil cooler.
'99 NAs were weird. My cousin's had no VVT, W917 oil filter, and no oil cooler.

Owners manual for the 1999 s/v70 serpentine or drive belt has the wrong diagram in it. It shows the -1998 one.

In my 2000 in NA, they deleted the incorrect diagram

FYI , serpentine belt replace interval is 60,000 miles
Correct one here
