Currently at this part but not sure what to do about the username. I've tried 1-4 and admin and none have worked.

Also, when I click on the entry box my keyboard inputs aren't registered. I have to click on "REGISTRATION GUIDE FOR SUBSCRIPTION" type whatever in there and then it transfers into the box I couldn't type in.

It will work with Edge if you install the IE Tab extension and use it for Vida.

I'm on Edge with IE Tab and I'm still getting that. Also admin and 1-4 isn't working for me and am not sure what to put for that.

Disregard the last. I was installing script 3 and 2099 to the wrong folder. (doing it to C:/VIDA instead of just C:) Now I've gotten to the type in vehicle page and VIDA works just fine. This guide is very nice so thank you for taking the time to make it.

I had to reinstall a previously working version, so I uninstalled VIDA using Revo uninstaller, which cleans up the registry and really deletes files when the programs own "remove" does not.

I then reinstalled, using the instructions in this thread, running the scrips from the mounted ISO image as instructed.
I have a VIDA monitor that runs normally, but when the VIDA login screen appears, I cannot type characters into the "Username" box at all. I can get a blinking cursor in that box by clicking on it, but it does not allow me to type the username.

I can click on the "Registration" button, which then allows me to enter any of "1", "2", "3", or "admin", and then the username box is populated and the screen returns the the VIDA login screen, but the response is "Invalid Username"

Windows 10, have the IE Tab on Edge browser, and I fear that the latest update to Windows 10 may have broken VIDA. I am heartbroken

Did you install the IE Tab helper application ( ietabhelper.exe ) ? IE Tab is two parts, the extension and the helper application.

Yes, I had the IE Tab installed before, and what did the trick in fixing the problem was applying the following after following all the steps listed in this thread back in post #1.

"VOLVO VIDA 2014D Patch 213064bit.exe" a license extension claimed to be "good until 2130".
"SetupDiCE.exe", a stand-alone reinstall of the DiCE drivers.

My symptoms were:

(a) No ability to type anything into the "username" box on the first page presented by "http://localhost/Vida/" in IE Tab after a complete remove and reinstall of "VIDA-2014D repack".

(b) Before the reinstall, no recognition of the DiCE device by a previously working copy of VIDA

But all is well with the result - read codes, found out that I either have an intermittently bad O2 sensor, or I have to replace a CAT at 200K. So, time for some VIDA graphs while driving.

That is not my patch. No way to tell if it is any good and I am not going to invest any time into it. That would be senseless after putting something together that does work. The 2099 patch is good to 2099. More time then anybody needs and it works.

213064bit.exe is one thing that you are doing that deviates from my instructions.
I suggest you get in contact with the author of 213064bit.exe is you want to use it.
