Neil.
Thanks.

I DO wish the new parts looked new. Visually, the only difference between them and the old stuff is the new bolts and mounts aren't covered in rust and gunk.

Hey, cleaned is good enough for me! It's like resealing an oil pan and having it all nice and clean upon installation. Still looks new compared to everything else on the engine!

Got some more work done today.

Added the throwout bearing and mount brackets to the transaxle.

Drilled and tapped a hole for the bolt to secure the fuel line to the accessory bracket:

Now that I think about it, I'm gonna need bigger zip ties on the inboard sides of the steering rack boots.

Thank you!

Get those rack lines started now, before you cover them up with engine. Take them to within one flat of tight

That's my next step. They're too difficult to get in and out with the engine in.

Are elephants still available in US grocery stores? We ran into a major bushmeat draught in Europe once the African colonies declared independence ... :D

A few weeks ago, though, when rallyracing in Tunisia, we found a butcher who had camel meat for sale.

You can drive into many countries and sneak out an elephant in your trunk. Quite a delicacy in Tuskany.
