Took a full body shower using Zerex G-05 today. Even had a mouthful of it at one point but couldn't find my toothbrush. Amazing how much coolant comes out when you crack open the bottom turbo cooling line. Also amazing how much drinking it takes to remove that flavor from your mouth.

Anyhow, removed a bevel gear & driveshaft (again) for fun, just to make sure I "still had it". Fortunately that exercise wasn't for naught. Turned out the DEM pump had ceased operating so put a new one in for resumed AWD function.

Whoa. My iPD gauge had proper markings. The problem with those is that you couldn't see them  Boost gauge install

I didn't notice any notchy action.

Like you, I struggled with placement. Headliner, A-pillar, instrument cluster... I tried them all.

I believe yours is a previous generation.

Yep, my IPD one is notchy (not horribly), and there aren't any kinks in my nylon line. Looks like they used to use vinyl tubing, wonder if that accounts for the difference in action? The $14 ebay one is smooth as silk & every bit as accurate as the IPD one & has a smoked lens that appears black with the ignition off. Not ripping on IPD, I love lots of their stuff & have spent oodles with them (haven't we all?), simply saying their gauge isn't worth $60 or $70 or whatever it costs.

I still need to wire them so they are dimmable.

Anyone want to wager a bet as to how much longer this collar sleeve/BG input is going to last? 276,500 on it as is. $5 beer money to the winner.

It's gotta be the mechanics of the gauge -- your IPD -- that are low quality to make the notchiness. The tube's the tube. Air pressure is air pressure. Could be metal, rock, or plastic, it's all the same.

When you get it to dim by wiring it to the gauge cluster, you'll have that Tingly DIY Feeling™ we all get every so often. $5 beer money says it.

I replaced the steering rack boot on my S60, as it was brittle and with two holes. Luckily I was able to slide the new boot through the tie rod joint.

Also sprayed some AT 205 on surrounding bushings to rejuvenate them.

You can also wire it to the accessories connector, maybe it's the pink wire that dims with the dimmer switch? Don't remember ...

Last night I moved the S60 R from the front of the house to the back, went to move it again and the key wouldn't turn! As is common, the pot metal pin had broken off.

This morning I Dremeled open the steel plate underneath the lock cylinder, dropped out the broken pin, 40 minutes later the car was back on the road.

Hopefully this fix is enough, I didn't see any other pieces jammed up or floating around in there.

Also, last Saturday on the same car I replaced the fuel pressure sensor. Car would sporadically hesitate just a bit, and the code for FPS was detected by VIDA. There was no CEL. Bought the Bosch unit, installed, problem didn't surface again this week and no code set so far.
