Hi to all.
I have no recirc lights showing, the clutch does not engage when I turn on the A/C nor do I get a little blue light, but the clutch will engage if I jumper the switch here, see pics:

I have no codes being thrown and the last check of the system by an Indie ,who said the system was fully charged, has got me scratching
Any ideas, would love to hear them.
BTW am toying with the idea of getting a duracool kit.

Either not enough gas to engage the switch or the switch itself is bad.

Thanks MIJ, I have tried changing the switch with no success, perhaps I have two bad switches.
It is probably worth while rechecking what the Indie did to verify if there is in fact a full charge.
I will report back asap.

I bought a "Duracool kit" from Walmart...$99.00 plus taxes.
It has 3 cans, 1 to remove the moisture, one to seal any holes and one to recharge.
It comes with a gauge and connection for the "low port"plus a few adaptors.
I went through the entire procedure as explained in the instructions, the vents are now blowing cold.
The compressor seems to cycle every 10 seconds or so.
The gauge measures in the so called "ok" zone which is between 28 and 45.
I am not sure why the compressor is cycling, perhaps the gauge is not as accurate as is needed and i over filled or something else
The pressure does spike every time the compressor engages.
I think that I can also hear a ticking from inside the car, either blower motor resistor or I am hearing the compressor cycle.
No flashing lights. No codes either.
I will report back tomorrow after a run to and from work with pictures of cans and all.
Btw here a is a link to Duracool if anyone is interested:

When I bought my 760GLE used, there was no AC belt on it. There still isn't. I think that the reason might be because one of the pulleys is frozen. I'm thinking of picking up a new pulley, AC belt and putting them in. However, I have heard that running AC will drain the life from the 20 year old engine. What are your thoughts on it?
I appreciate it

2000 s70 - a/c not working. hasn't worked well for about 2 years. I've periodically charged it to get me through, thinking I had a leak, but now not working at all. Put the gauge on the low port and realized pressure too high. Wondering what is actually happening in the system when the pressure is too high? I understand low pressure and a leak, but what happens under high pressure? How does this affect the compressor? Thanks.

It will read high without the A/C actually on...you have to turn the car on and get the compressor going BEFORE reading your gas level on the low port. If you don't do this you will read up to 80psi too high, even when the actual gas pressure (therefore the level) is low. Did you do this?
