Ace Hardware does not carry bolt with square head.

Try NAPA or OReilly auto parts.

It sounds like from gnalan's other thread that a replacement ETM is needed. Would the FDPP be able to find/provide/send one to him?

Yes.

The symptoms overlap with failing ETM symptoms, certainly.

I've checked everything else that I could think of so far, along with others suggestions to check.

I wish it wasn't so expensive to replace the ETM. I looked at different tutorials on fixing it myself by replacing the TPS, but it doesn't look like something I can do myself without causing more problems.

I really appreciate the help from everyone here, both with parts and advice. If someone could help with the cost of the XeMODeX ETM, I could make payments to pay it back. I just can't afford the whole amount at once. It'll probably take me 4 to 6 months to pay back, but if someone is ok with taking payments I can pay it back.

Consensus? Are there any dissenters to declaring a failing ETM diagnosis?

gnalan, Did you run through the XeModeX ETM test flowchart? Did results point to ETM failure?

Is Xemodex guaranteed for life?

If you go to ebay and search "volvo s60 xemodex", you will see for sale for $160.00.

I did go through the flow chart, and when I got to the step where I removed and reinstalled fuse #7 the ETM clicked on, whined for about 10 seconds, and then shut off. I did that about a six times to make sure, thinking maybe the clicking sound only showed up when it wanted to. The flow chart says it should whine for 6 seconds. I don't know if the difference in time matters or not. The flow chart then had me check for MAF codes, which I don't have any codes related to the engine at all. I attached a graph of the different parameters that keep jumping around. Can anyone tell by looking at the pic if it's the MAF, ETM, or possibly both? Maybe something else altogether? I didn't find any vacuum leaks anywhere, and looking at the graph I don't really know what's causing my problems.

The graph is with the car at normal operating temp. When it was cold it did the same thing, but I didn't get a screenshot.
