My pulley is already off and I did recieve a new tensioner so it should be a little easier, I will try not to bump it with my forearms, Thanks for the tips. Hopefully by next weekend I will be cruising again.

Picked up head from machine shop. Looks brand new.Keep running out of daylight. I will need all day to put it together. I will put #1 piston at TDC before putting head on just to have everything lined up. Camshaft sprockets are still on which is good. I woulkd have like to change the seals but don't want to chance getting the sprokets on the wrong way. I will inform of progress.

You're probably already there, but make sure you have the cams on their alignment marks as well or you'll either drive a valve into the top of a piston when you tighten it down or you won't be able to turn the cams to get them aligned afterward because the vales will be hitting the pistons. Also, I would go with the cranckshaft timing mark rather than TDC on number 1 piston. Should be the same thing, but I'd go with the timing mark. I assume you have lined up the crank pulley and have a new bolt to hold it in place. Also make sure you know which is the intake and which is the exhaust cam when you reassemble it. The seals can be done later if you want, but it's no biggy to take off the cam pulleys, just scribe the bolts on the pulley face before you loosen them.

Crankshaft timing mark is my version of TDC. My intake camshaft still have th distributor rotor attached. There are parts I will take pictures of that I did not recognize because I did not remove them. I will try and post them for us to figure the puzzle. I did find a 30 mm nut and a cranskshaft gear for 9 bucks off an 850. I'm all set when it comes to parts just need time.
Thanks

Better than being up here Larry. If you were here you'd need time and warmth. It's only about 10 degrees this morning.

Have installed the head with both manifolds, along with cam cover. I didn't realize the cam cover required alot of pressure to bring down flush. I guess it need to because of the cam rollers. Two Questions:
1. Where can I find a upper left engine mount bushing, the one that is pressed into a black arm and attaches to the fire wall bracket?
2. How are the heat shields installed? (any picture anyone?)
3. I know I said 2 questions:
What are these and where do they go? :? these are parts that are left over.(click on web address)

Remember I did not remove the head, somebody else did.
Thanks in Advance

The round bushing can be bought from www.fcpgroton.com I'll try to dig up a picture or diagram of the heat shield. The curved tube in the picture appears to be the oil return line for the turbo...other parts (small springs, etc.) I don't know, but it doesn't sound good that they were left over. I guess if I were you, I'd hope that others would recognize them here (who have done this job) or maybe ask the guys who took your head off? I hope nothing left off/out is going to be problematic for you. Were these parts possibly replaced with new ones?

They aren't really left over. They are actually missing from the car as far as I can tell. I just don'yt know where they go. Even the return line I can not find where it's missing from the turbo. I just used the words left over or extra parts as a mechanical joke.oops!

Okay, gotcha...I think the other parts are actually for the heat shield. Hpefully this will help you with the oil return (hard) line: http://volvospeed.com/Repair/turborepairline.php
I hope this diagram for the heat shield is helpful:
