I have seen several mentions of this tool, but no photos, and no idea if a generic tool like this one:
ASIN: B07PDJ83JB on Amazon. (for some reason the board does not like the link, so pasted as text with a space after the slashes below):
https:// amazon.com/Injector-Basket-Removal-Optional-Filters/dp/B07PDJ83JB?th=1
Is an equivalent. I would consider cleaning them to be a good idea at 200K miles on my 2004 v70, but I hesitate to mess with something that is not causing an overt issue. Perhaps simply removing and soaking them in a solvent, or ultrasonic cleaning would be a better idea than attempting to remove more than the rubber o-rings.
Are the baskets a big deal? Can they be cleaned, or is replacing them easier?

1982 240DL: Drove it 32 years and 1.5 million miles (sold, even still had mint leather!)
2001 v70 2.4T: The most expensive $1500 car I ever bought ("Volvo Turbo" - what an oxymoron!) (sold)
2004 v70: Far less fatally-flawed v70 - It served well (sold)
2010 v50: Smaller, slightly sportier wagon. Its got a spoiler, so I upgraded with sway bars!

The fuel injector kit (o-rings, filters, pintle caps) I purchased came with the right size screw to remove the little filters. It worked well.packetfire wrote: ↑16 May 2022, 06:04 I have seen several mentions of this tool, but no photos, and no idea if a generic tool like this one:

That is how mine were done as well. Worked with no difficulty on 3 sets I have done.

Do you have a hole-size gauge to say what size wood screw that is?
