P2 erasing SRS error log , Carprog Lithuania links
Hi, have a 2001 V70-XC, it got SRS service code and airbag warning lamp. Cant get the error code go away, have tried with vida/dice and other different scanners. They find the error codes and if i unplug the connector on rear left side its a new error on rear left side belt tensioner. But if i then connect the connector i cant get that new error to go away either. Is there something i can try or is there something with the SRS module?

Sounds like you may have connectors swapped? All connectors must be properly connected and functional before you can clear the codes. AutoPhix has a Volvo code reader that cleared code for my 2001 V70. Check the similar topics below for more help.

SRS errors are permanent, can't be removed, only "hushed". When SRS memory is full of errors, the last one can't be hushed. Needs SRS flash brain surgery. Unofficial, of course.
I am piggybacking off this post because it is in line with my issue as well...
A while back I had my fuel pump go out on the ’03 Volvo XC70. To get to it I had to pull the back seat and as such didn’t follow the precise order of steps to disconnect the battery terminals before unplugging the side airbag sensor in the back seat. Once everything was back together I had an SRS airbag warning light on the instrument panel, but never the actual airbag light. I didn’t have access to a scanner that could clear that and I wasn’t paying Volvo $150 to do that for me. Fast forward, I recently bought an Autel MK808, I followed the process I have seen several others do on YouTube to clear what appeared to be the same code, and it cleared on my XC70. However, after turning the car off and back on the code comes back.
The code that keeps coming back is 00D4 Permanent Fault SRS-00D4 lamp ; Faulty Signal
I have had my instrument panel worked on for issues in the past, before the fuel pump failure and am having an issue with the trip gage again but I thought that was originally irrelevant, now I am not so sure. Could the code not clearly be because of an issue with my gage cluster?
I am hesitant to do anything to test the actual sensor so I am at a loss. Is it my scan tool not being able to clear it, I am performing the wrong order of operations, is it the sensor, is it my gage cluster.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.
Thanks,
Whizbang

Did you go back over the rear seat connectors and make sure they're connected properly.whizbang wrote: ↑28 Jul 2022, 12:25 I am piggybacking off this post because it is in line with my issue as well...

thats where the SRS problem originated so thats where i would be looking.
i did the same thing with the fuel pump and had to buy an autel code reader to erase it.

Okey, so i need a UPA-USB or is there a better choice for personal use? But is it possible to clear the airbag info by myselfe from the file or do i need to buy a online service to process the file for me?
