1998 Volvo S70

Post by Camaro737 »

Hi, this is my first post to MVS. Since I have gotten my S70 I have done new plugs, MAF, cap and rotor, air filter, etc.. Recently it has been running poorly so I decided to take out the injectors and clean them up. It was a bad decision, one of them decided to stick open and cause me to hydrolock my engine. I took out the plugs, took out the fuel pump relay and spung the motor. Did a compression test (150psi each cylinder) and went ahead and ordered 5 new Bosch injectors. I put them in and my car runs absolutely perfect.... but on startup it has been making a somewhat popping / ticking sound ONLY ON STARTUP though. Runs great has great power and that noise cannot be heard while driving ever. Seeing how I hydrolocked it I changed the oil, 5w30 and I used a Mobil 1 filter, I read another discussion where my filter could be causing some issues? The black cover that goes around the distributor has a slight Crack and I'm planning on replacing it, could that be causing it? Thanks in advance for any replies!
