a question about Pierburg Turbo control valves

Post by azureblue »

My T5 car has the original Pierburg Turbo control valve in it, and saw the metal hose fitting is corroded. I want to replace it, but I found several varieties of the valve, all pulled from (non T5) turbo'd P2 cars. They have different parts number but the Pierburg Turbo control valve number is almost the same -- GF30> ending with different suffixes - my car end in 1 (GF30>1), and the other vales end in 4 and 6.
I tried to find data on their website but no luck.. Anybody know anything?

thanks - that part number matches one of the spares that I have. That is not the same as the original in the car. But I'm not the first owner.. I'll just try both and see what happens

I see the make part number ends in .13.0 so I assume this is a rev. number. The one I have (not in the car) has the same part number, ending in .11
IPD is more expensive and shows a different part number..
