2003 v70

Hello everyone, so I’ve got a bad engine in my 1999 v70 glt (2.4). Not many choices for engines around me at the moment. One of my options is a 2.4 out of a 2003 v70, I’ve read that this will work, I just won’t be able to plug in the vvt on the intake cam.

I was hoping someone may have experience to confirm this theory while it sounds like it may work id rather know before I put the work in.

A local parts recycler says that only a 1999 engine will work
