After looking over the site I feel relived that I was not the only one having the check engine light issue as well.
Well I have a 2001 S40 turbo and it has 67000 miles on it. A few months ago my shift knob started sticking and I had to jiggle it out to switch gears. (thank god its a automatic) I took it to a Volvo specialist and they took the shifter apart and relubicated the parts. A few days after they did that the shifter started sticking again. Took the car back and they replaced the knob. When I was driving the car today the shift button started to stick again. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue? I'm think of taking it back to place that attempted to fix and tell them to repair the issue i paid you to do because im not paying them again for something they failed to fix.
I have a another question as well. Earlier I mention that I had a check engine issue as well. the place I took it too replace both 02 sensors and that same day the light came back on. Now I was reading the forums and the check engine light can come on for several different issues. The car runs fine and I only drive the car 20 miles a day. What would you do in this situation tell them that they failed yet again to resolve the issue or just reset the light yourself. I feel I was better off taking it to the dealership and paying more for them to resolve the issue.
