Trouble with top nut on rear shock.

Trouble with top nut on rear shock.

I am replacing the rear shocks, and am having trouble with the top nut on the shock. I was able to get it out after 20 minutes of fiddling with it.

I tightened it as shown in the below photo, but I don't think I got it to be that tight. Does the tightness of this bolt matter? How can I tighten it better?

Saw specs for the 3 bolts on the strut mount on another forum. Though not Volvo when compared to the chart below I think if you are within those ranges you should be fine. All McPherson struts systems are basically the same so should be fine. Torque it after installation and after the suspension settles.

With a passthrough socket, $25 at harbor freight. Not used often, but perfect for this.
