SRS dash light won't go away_1998 V90

On a 1998 Volvo V90 the SRS light comes on (as it should) & remains lit after 10 seconds. I've checked the control module under the drivers seat, the connections are intact.
I don't have VADIS or DICE so I am unable to access DTC's using "Blue Driver".
Any help on this would be appreciated.
I'm thinking this fault code (if there is one) may be caused by the clock spring on the steering wheel? How to remove the steering wheel and replace the clock spring?
