How to bleed the brakes

Post by Barada »

Hi all!!! I apologize, I understand that the issue has been discussed many times, but... I am the “happy” owner of a 2006 XC70:). There is Vida on the laptop, but no luck with Dice, it only reads the left half of the blocks. I installed a vacuum booster from v50, a fluid reservoir from xts70. Until recently, when connecting to the car and selecting activation, the abs valves clicked, but now I can only start the pump (buzzing). The actual question is, is it possible to bleed the brake fluid circuit by activating the abs pump or do you need to just activate the valves?
Thanks for the tip Uncle Vitale aka VTL:)
ps My front door cards have been removed, maybe (a crazy idea, but this is a Volvo) will this affect it?

When I dismantled the vacuum booster, I unscrewed the bracket from the body that holds the ABS unit and, without disconnecting the wiring, lowered the unit with the bracket down a couple of inches. In the activation menu, only the pump is activated. errors for this block BCM-0065 BCM-0103 and CEM-1A5F

I would love to get rid of abs altogether, I don’t like this system. But won't errors appear and the car will not operate correctly? For example (these are my theoretical thoughts), it will detect a lack of pressure in the system

In addition, the main brake cylinder from the v50 does not create pressure when the brake pedal is operated (I dismantled it, like the vacuum booster and pedal sensor, at a dismantling station). I want to replace the rubber seals in it, its diameter is 23mm and the Autofren D1737 repair kit should fit. But all the advertisements about the sale of this kit are only in Europe, is it really not possible to buy it from us? This is Ford in those days...

Its not so simple to disable abs on the volvo, I did it to my ford van but everything is integrated on volvo.

ABS can disable the transmission on our cars.
