Heat Soak

Post by 1990Volvo740 »

I'm having a problem starting the car when the weather is hot.
Starts fine in cold weather but 95+ degrees, the car will not start. All the indicator lights illuminate but when I turn the key nothing.
What sensors could be bad that would fool the car into preventing it from starting?

No engine cranking? No buzzing noise? Nothing?
Does the engine stall when it gets hot if you can start it cold?
Check for loose battery connections and terminals at the starter.

The problem has been solved.

It was a bad battery or defective Battery since it did start the car like a champ when the temperature was Hot.

When Cold it was hard to tell that battery failed.
