PNP pigtal connector 01 v70 T5

Post by johnrapier »

Good Evening,

I recently replaced the PNP switch, and somehow, the connector that plugs into the PNP pigtail has a broken green cable. Please look at the image attached and let me know if there is any way to fix it.

This is the part I ordered

the pin will have to be removed, solder in a new piece of wire and new pin.

i would order a de pinning tool set and connectors from amazon.

Thank you for the link. I ordered that kit and watched some videos. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to remove the white cover inside the connector to pull out the busted pin. If I do would I slide a flat head underneath to lift it out? Please see the image attached,

I've taken terminal pins out of the socket side of the connector and not sure if the pin side of the connector is the same. For the socket side I had to remove the white center part to get to little plastic tabs that hold the pins in the connector. With a jeweler's screwdriver I pried the plastic tabs away from the sockets while pulling on the wires from the backside and the socket and the terminal/socket pins came right out. You can't get to or move these plastic tabs without removing the white center part. I recall the white center piece had a little tab in the center I had to move sideways to pry the white piece out. I only used a small jeweler's flat head screwdriver to get everything apart.
In your photo the center white piece looks different but I expect there will be a little locking tab keeping it in place but it should be easy to remove.

Thank you for the insight. I was able to push it out with an eyeglass screwdriver. From there I just stripped the end of the wire used a new connector pushed it back in. All good to go. Thank you everyone for the help.
