I recently installed a new battery (48 series) into a 2001 Volvo S80. The climate control does not work now. A volvo tech told me (over the phone) that the climate control probably got a voltage spike from the new battery and it's now fried. I think he's trying to sell me an expensive climate control unit. I did not hook up a temp power source when installing the battery, but the switch took less than 2 minutes. Can you give me your opinion on the matter.
Please respond as soon as possible, this IS NOT MY CAR and I don't want to fork out big $$$ for something it doesn't need.
I'll be looking forward to your reply.
Thanks
