Post by shanasty »

I have a 2007 s40 and it does not have xenon headlights...

what are these HID light kits? should i get that or just some xenon bulbs to replace my factory bulbs?>>>and if so what bulbs would you suggest for high and low beam? and are they easy to install myself?

Hi, I went on the same issue since my 2006 S40 dont have Xenon too.

Well i went with the volvo dealer and they first told me it was going to be like $1500usd

Then I went to another one and they told it was going to be like 4500 usd

They told me since it comes with no Xenon they have to replace the front of the car.

Well at least lights cases, supports and some other stuff in the back springs.

I looked at some places and you can get the bulb converters so they fit in there and so on, but i was told if Volvo notice those changes theyll void warranty in Electric for the car.

I looked on the internet and the bixenon lites are not available for the 05 s40. I ended up using the PIAA extreme white plus, which are the same wattage as original volvo lites but put out double the luminas (twice as bright). That wouldn't change the warranty since they are the same wattage.
