I had a problem with my power windows on my 86 244 and found out the relay went.
To jump it i simply pulled the relay out (it is the one just on the side of the glove compartment) and attached a wire to two of the connections (there are four altogether) and it worked. So if your windows get stuck in down position you can use this trick to get them back up if the motors are working.
While working on some inventory on some 850's i parted out i noticed one of the black "j" relays. I i compared it to the schematics on the original relay #1 235 893 and behold they appeared the same right down to the way the plugs are mounted to fit in the electrical connectors.
Guess what.. it worked and two days later i still didnt blow any fuses and imagine i only have another 10 to go if it does break. LOL
