Help w/PVC Issues for 2001 V70 Turbo

Post by vcruiser »

My 2001 V70 Turbo is collecting oil on the head and spark plug wells, so it looks like it's PVC cleaning/overhaul time. There were some very good instructions for this operation on 850s posted here - can anyone supply the same for this model or advise as to differences from one those other posts? Also - are the rubber boots on the coils replacable/available? The sealing shoulders on mine are looking a little tired.

Basically the same procedure for the 850 but less parts (lucky!). Not sure if fcpgroton.com sells a kit for your car or not, but it would be worth a phone call for them. All of the rubber parts and the oil trap are replaceable.

Thanks for the quick response. FPG doesn't have a kit for me, but dealer parts will do. Any thoughts on the advisability of replacing the mother-of-all-tubes that feeds the oil trap? It's the roughly horizontal combined plastic/rubber one. At 140K mi I'm inclined to do so - in spite of the $130.
