1994 940 turbo cooling fan problems

Post by pburchins »

Hello,

I am having problems with my 1994 940 turbo. The cooling fan won't turn on. I have swapped out the cooling fan relay and it did not help. I have run 2 wires directly from the battery and tested the fan and it does run on both speeds.

I will idle the car with the A/C on and it will overheat. There is no temp sensor on the radiator. Is there one on the engine ?? At this point, I am at a loss........any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated !

Thanks !

Patrick

The cooling system temp sensor is on the left side of the cylinder head under the intake.

Have you pulled any codes on this?

Bill.
