Have had my 99 S80 2.9 for almost three years. During the heat wave in August (100+ for several weeks), the A/C unit was cycling more often, and a little noisy. Keep the car in the garage, noticed next time I move it out had a small 4" spot on the floor, looks like either power steering fluid or over heated coolant. would like to know what to tell the dealer once I take it in?? I am in SE Tennessee, not many dealers, and not many shops I would trust with the S80?
Thanks in advance
99 S80 2.0 New to the group, just a couple of questions

Jack,
where are you? I'm in Knoxville but traveled to Sweetwater everyday for my job (I now work in Knoxville) for about 10 years. In Sweetwater, I found a very good and very reasonable mechanic who loves to work on Volvo's. He did the work that I was either too lazy to do or didn't have the time for over the last several years on both of our Volvo's. If you're close enough to Sweetwater, I would sure give him a call. His shop is called "The Shop," and his phone number is 423-337-4736. His cell phone (when he doesn't answer it connect to The Shop) is 423-519-7467. His name is Finess (pronounced Fine Ness, I believe). Just tell him that David with the green S70 sent you.
Btw, the fluid on your floor: If it's red, it's transmission or power steering fluid. If it's a light green it's coolant. Use a white tissue to soak it up and see what color it is.

I live in Cleveland, TN and go to Sweetwater a few time a month. Thanks for the info, also the oil on the floor, looks like motor oil, not pink or yellow, but a brownish was looking around under the hood, found what looks like oil inside the splash pan. Better take it to Sweetwater soon. Check both the oil and transmission, both where full, but the power steering was a little low, could be the power steering.
Thanks
Jack
