The headliner on my son's 97 850 is delaminating from the backing on the passenger side. He drives with the passenger window partially down in the summer and its the air turbulence that seems to have loosened up the cloth and its starting to drupe.
Is there a particular spray adhesive ie. 3M that I can use to glue it back up?
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
FRED

I used 3M 08088 on mine. You can get it at just about any good auto parts store but it is pricey. I seem to recall that I paid around $15.00 for the can.
The good thing about it is that it won't leach through the fabric and discolor it. It is a contact type cement so the procedure is to get both mating surfaces and then let it dry to just past the tack stage before sticking it back up. I only had to do the sunroof shade on my car so it wasn't bad to take it all the way apart. Hopefully you can just drop the passenger

Thanks for the suggestions
I did buy some 3M adhesive #45......did not hold up very well.
Ozark Lee.....I will get the more permenent bonding 08088.
I had actually tried a carb cleaner nozzle with the red tube on the adhesive spray can and poked the thin tube through the fabric to spray behind it. I think it would have worked if I had used the better adhesive you suggested.
Thanks again!
