Instrument Panel Lights Not Working, 1988 240DL

The intrument panel isn't lighting up on my 1988 240 DL. I installed this instrument panel myself. I plugged in four things, but there is a fifth cord that I did not plug in because I wasn't sure what it was or if it was a ground wire. Other than the lights, all the instruments work. Can anyone direct me to a diagram of the back of a 240 instrument panel, or tell me how many cords should be plugged into it? Any ideas as to what the problem could be? I already replaced the light failure sensor. Thanks, Jane.

if you are not sure do not plug that unknown wire in, I burned out my speedo doing that. Volvo wiring diagrams are really excellent. I will post a link. I think mine cost me $27 for my car but it was worth it.
