Hi all,
Hoping someone can shed some light on my problem. I recently got a '99 s80 t6 with 75k. It had an oil pressure problem, the Volvo repair shop said bad o-rings on the pump pick up. They replaced various o ring and said it was all set. I drove it home and there was some strange whirring like noise and the car didnt have much power. The next morning before leaving I checked the oil, full, nice and clean, and went to the market. Upon leaving the noise was gone and about a minute later tons of stinky smoke come out the exhaust! I pulled over and checked the oil, none! and smoke coming out of the dipstick hole! I left the car there and checked it several hours later and low and behold the oil was full again and still clean. I am guessing there is a blockage of some sort. Any ideas where to go from here?
Thanks for any advice!

Do NOT drive your car! You may have already done irreparable damage to your engine. Call the shop and explain the situation to them. Have them send their tow truck out to pick your car up and have it checked. It sounds like the oil return passages are plugged, preventing the oil from returning to the sump.
