My Volvo 740 Turbo (1990, 208k miles, Automatic) has been acting strange lately, and it has got much worse.
I got up this morning to go to work, and it started to stall immediately. If I gently accelerate on it, it runs half way decent, but the second I put a little pressure on the accelerator, it starts popping (sounds like backfiring) and almost stalls out.
I was thinking maybe I had water in my gas tank. Or maybe I need a new fuel filter?
Suggestions?

In case anyone is having the same problem as me...
I put on the fuel filter this morning and let it idle for a while, then drove it around for a few and it ran a little rough. Then I put some gas treatment in it and it ran fine...
I'm thinking there was water in my tank because when this first started happening I put more gas into the tank. Now that I've used some of that fresh gas, I think I was sucking up the remaining water. It's running fine, now.
If anyone else has any idea of what it may have been, please let me know, for future reference :]
