The mass airflow sensor pictured is what I've removed and I would like to know if there's anywhere that I might pick up one of these at a reasonable price. Your help is greatly appreciated....this is my wifes car and she wants it fixed........last month!

I could only imagine.

You probably won't be able to just buy the sensor element. You'll have to buy the cylinder piece it goes in as well. Check out prices at the following:
1. www.fcpgroton.com
2. eeuroparts.com (free shipping on orders of $39 or more)
3. http://www.autohausaz.com/

Don't expect super low prices on this. These go for about $200 at the dealer.

Just take off the whole assembly and clean the hot wire with contact cleaner, it will work.

It may or may not. Because there is a lot of information here concerning cleaning the MAF sensor, I assumed that he had already tried that without good results and was now ready to replace it with one that works.
