mass airflow sensor issue

check engine light popped on and code was mass airflow sensor. i replaced it and it came back on with mass airflow sensor code again, replaced the air filter and cleaned out the cavity. came back on, i checked the hoses and it looked like one was a little dry rotted, so i replaced it. came back on, so i took the mass airflow sensor back and they gave me a new one. the check engine light came back on again. when i clear the code it runs fine with no issues, but once the check engine light comes on it sputters and sometimes stalls out when idling. where do i go from here?

Bosch only.
Anything else is a gamble.
The MAF from local parts store is a booby trap.

Based on my experience, always go with either new or used of the same manufacturer and specs. I bought a rebuilt MAF and my car kept stalling even at speed or when idling at a traffic light. I switched to one that I pulled from a pik n pull for 25 bucks and my car hasn't stalled since.
