Numerous possibilities from your steering stops needing some grease to worn spring seats to loose or worn out sway bar endlinks. Check these out and let us know what you find. I had what you described and greased my stops, replaced spring seats, strut mounts and struts, bought new tires, had an alignment but until I changed out my endlinks the squeaking didn't go away. I was new to my car then and didn't know any better than to throw parts at my car but the end result was a good tight front end which to this day I'm happy about.

Yeah, depending on the design that's on, you either have to counter hold or use a hex key in the middle of them as the counter hold...probably yours are older so you counter hold from behind the bushing. Easy because you don't even need to realign your car. If in doubt what to get, IPD sells a heavy duty series that is about half the cost of OEM new and they're warrantied for 5 years. That's what I use.

My 2 cents, I just fixed and put back my skid plate (or air dam).
It fastens with two screws on the side and 3 thingymajiggymabobs(clips) in front. My thingymajiggymabobs are broken due to getting a little too close to the parking block.
I have noticed the creaking has returned after re-attaching the skid plate, it is louder when turning into a drive or road. I believe it is the plastic which is now flexing. Also take a look at the brake hose bracket, as well as the wheel wells for loose nuts and covers.

Ok more like 4 cents
