My '97/'98 V90 had front bumper damage, and apparently the body shop did not secure the forward under-radiator gravel guard--it fell off as I was driving down the interstate (I watched it being run over by a following vehicle). Now there is a sensor?? plug hanging down (2-wires) and I cannot find where it is supposed to be attached. I have a picture which I have tried to upload here, but was unable, and could email it.
Nearest Volvo dealer is 3-hr drive.

If it is the same set-up as 850/x70 series then it's your outside/ambient temperature sensor or at least the wires that plug up to it. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Hope you get it straightened out fairly quickly and without much hassle from the place that did the shoddy job.
