Passenger door won't open on 94 850 estate/wagon

the passenger door on my 94 850 estate will not open from the outside but does fine from in the inside. the door locks and unlock electrically just fine. any ideas?? I also took off the panel and did not see anything out of the ordinary but was not quite sure what to look for. Cheer, Rod

I also have a 94 850 wagon and have the same issue on my rear drivers side door, but it is intermittent. I find that if I lift up on the handle while pulling it out it opens almost every time. May not help you but worth a try.

I suspect a broken child safe door latch. Rear doors have this not the front seat doors. Look where the door meets the car on the door side. There is a latch that you flip up or down. One position is child safe (door doesn't open) and another position is child unsafe (it opens). This prevents kids from falling out while vehicle is in motion. This is either broken or in the wrong posiition.

I was able to get a used lock assembly for £20, instead of the £250 price from the dealer, and had it fitted for £30. Works like a charm. Continetal Breakers in UK sorted me out!
