Well my 940 found out I was considering selling her. I have been jumping the electric fan at the relay socket because I don't trust the thermoswitch during hot weather. It is hot here in Ohio so I popped the hood to pull the relay and discovered the relay partially melted and the socket REALLY melted. This was not due to my jumper, I wanted to install my jumper! The relay got toasty but tested OK, the relay socket is hosed. The 12v input line pulled right out of the socket. I put an ammeter in line and it went overload (greater than 10A). The fan turns on normally though.
Q: Does anyone know what the nominal current is for this fan? Perhaps mine is demanding too much current because it is on the way out.
Thanks
