I just bought a certified pre-owned 2001 S60 T5. Took longer than usual to start, and within 10 minutes: car lost acceleration, warning light came on, text window read "low performance". Pulled off road, shut car off then restarted and was fine.
Any ideas of what the heck happened?

No idea, but codes might be stored, giving you an idea of what happened. You need to get a code reader (search this site for "code AND reader") or take it to a Volvo dealer or independent mechanic and have them pull the codes.
