First off when the knob for the fan speed it set to the off position the blower still goes very slow with this very annoying sound like a squealing...so im thinking theres a connection problem there since it doesnt turn off in the off position?
secondly ill turn the knob to speed 1 and the noise will just get a bit faster and louder same for the 2nd position and sometimes the 3rd but not all the time
help!!! this is VERY annoying !!!!
thanks in advance
Richard

Apart from the connection problem, which may just be wear in the switch, I would suspect that the bearings are going in the fan motor.
To replace the fan motor can be a hard or easy job depending on the type of heater fitted.
Bill.
