850SE-Current Leakage -Intermittent

Post by wnbooker »

Have a S/H 850SE sedan which is a beaut car. Knew when I purchased it that some things would need doing(rear engine seal, top & RHS lower engine mounts. all fluids)
However have a current leakage as follows and not it appears all the time:
1. On shutting down engine about 0.6 amperes then front relay located at top of radiator drops out after a few minutes and draw is then 0.3 amps. Removal of central locking fuse apparently eliminates draw according to one Volvo Repair shop. But they were doubtful about finding the leakage.
2. Took it to another local Volvo shop and they could find only normal leakage- a few milliamps.
3. Immediately after this I drove a resonably long distance and the vehicle stood overnight. In the morning the battery was flat again.
I had put a new correct cranking ampage battery in before this happened. This is the second battery.
Really appreciate any help/ideas from anyone who may have experienced similar problems-stunned
