Tow Hitch for 2006 V70

Tow Hitch - Can a hitch assembly for a 2000 V70 be adapted to use on a 2006 V70.

If the 2000 model is after April 2000 the tow hitch is the same as that for the 2006. The earlier hitch for the 1997 - 2000 will not fit and can't be adapted as the fixing points are different.
