V70 2006 Radio LED screen gets VERY HOT

Post by Twig123 »

2006 V70 Radio Radio LED screen gets VERY HOT ...also program selector buttons. In fact, cannot play a CD from start to finish without melting the CD. Have had 3 radios installed since vehicle was purchased without any improvement. Dealer says that the high wattage amplifiers used by the radio manufacturer are the cause and that there is NO solution. He recommends not to use the buttons to select stations - use scan, and only play a couple of songs on CD at a time! Do other 2006 V70 owners have this problem? If so, how was it solved? Thanks

Melting CDs! In my opinion the dealer's conduct is beyond absurd.

If you'd like, add the dealership to the Opinion forum here:
