Engine blow by XC70 2000

I need some assistance - my 2000 V 70 Cross Country 104,000 miles - was just diagnosed with the following:

Oil leak: Oil is being blown through the turbo (the turbo was replaced a year ago): "engine blow by"
Angle gear drive needs to be replaced

Coolant leak - heater core

Chk engine light indicates: catalytic converter
My Volvo dealer told me not to fix them due to the cost - he told me my engine was just "worn out" - Can this happen without issues/problems/performance?I just drove from Sun Valley, Idaho to San Diego and back - 2,100 mile in four days. The car ran perfectly - the chk engine light went off once I left Idaho! I drove about 80 mph the entire way. It still runs well. It only leaks oil when I drive the car to Boise (elevation 2,100). It never leaked on the trip to San Diego
Should I fix it? Should I just trade it in for a newer one (price range around 12K). Thanks

Welcome to MVS.
These engines don't wear out in 100K miles unless they are severely neglected (hardly ever having an oil change or other maintenance items). Seems this dealer is trying to make as much $$ off of you as possible (I just don't trust most dealers- this is what's gotten me to be so involved in this forum to begin with). I would take your car to a good independent mechanic who knows Volvo's for a second opinion.

i wonder if they condemed the bevel gear for leaks or too much backlash/ play in the gear. leaks can be fixed,

the turbo cars all seem to have oil weeping from turbo and intercooler piping, just kinda common
