I just made my first rear strut brace for my 96 855. I am offering to make some for anyone who wants to pay materials and shipping. I have this weird love for fabricating and these are faily simple to make so I though I'd offer a cheaper than most service. Let me know. Can probably make same for other models too.
I will spray them black or whatever color you want to prevent rust.

Hey, are there holes there already?
And can you take a wider picture? I don't know exactly where that is.
You said $40 for the materials right?
How much would shipping be to 45229?
That looks awesome.

Well I forgot to include that mine is for a wagon. The holes already exist and have threads in them. Its located under the second floor latch (closest to back seats). Let me know if you have the sedan or wagon and I'll be posting photos soon.

Eh. Well they are two diffrent braces and the brace that I made goes inside the car. I'm thinkin you might have the same thing in your trunk. But I was going to attempt these "under car" braces as well. Thanks for reminding me about them. Maybe this weekend comin up I can punch out one or two and let you know what the material costs are.

Not sure how much of a difference a mid-car bracket like the one pictured would make ?? Seems one near the rear would make more of a difference....that said, I don't know what the result would be if you did both.
On a related note, QBM made such a bar for 850 and first gen. 70 wagons to go behind the rear seat, but those who have installed them ($100 for the bar and hardware) say it was a waste of a Ben Franklin note. Still interested, you could look it up on the QBM site to get an idea of design and fitment: http://www.quickbrickmotorsports.com You can follow the link for installation instructions as well. As far as I know, no one has done such a brace for the sedans.

Right on. Thanks for the info. I'm almost done with fabing the front strut brace. Probably this weekend and I'll post some photos of that one too.
