Can you aim the fog lights on the S80?

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Can you aim the fog lights on the S80?

Post by robocam »

The fog lights on my 2005 S80 2.5T seem to be aimed too low. Is it possible to aim them up a little higher?

After looking through VADIS it appears that they are not adjustable.

I wonder if I can add some washers to the mounting screws to aim them. How do you get to the mounting screws?

You do realize that fog lights are supposed to be aimed low to cut under the fog? Aiming them high negates their effectiveness.

If you still want to do it, here is how to get to them:

Yeah, I know they're supposed to be aimed low for fog, but we don't get much fog here in St. Louis, Missouri =)

Also, when I turn them on, I can barely see the area illuminated by them. There's a big gap between where the headlights stop and where the fog lights begin. I want to close that gap so I don't see a gap when they're both on.

On my previous car, the headlights lit the area directly in front. On my S80, I can see ground in front of my car that isn't lit with the low beams.

I just want the low beams and fog lights to overlap.

thanks for the file!

I just checked the back of my fog lights and there is an adjuster. Yay!
