99 s70 awd, has intermitten no speedometer/odometer which occurs simultaneously with Brake warning light. ABS light, traction light and tranny light all come on intermittenly - when tranny light is on car will not shift properly. Have noticed that the volume of stereo fluctuates when the speedo engages/diseneages. have replaced neutral safety switch

Sounds like you have a serious wiring problem in the dash...
These are a lot of differnt sytems that have one thing in common - they are electrical. I wish I could give a more positive answer but electrical problems for me have always been a pain.

'96 854 - died an early death with 184K miles. Killed by the front end of an LTD on a suicide mission (T-boned and both cars totaled).

I had the same problem, the brake warning light would come on and the speedometer would stop working, the a/c would stop blowing cold air, etc. My mechanic said the brake failure light comes on when fluid levels get below the sensor. Told to keep brake fluid topped off. I topped off the fluid levels and have not had any problems since.
