Well, I've finally got the AC system running again, and got the windows tinted to help it out. It blows cool when the sun is out at mid day, but morning and evening it blows ice cold... My guess is this old system wasn't made for florida heat.
I also got the timing correct and found the original owners manual, and found out these cars need Premium gas. Been running regular all this time, well, I put in the premium and WOW, what a difference. The rough idle is gone, and the power is even greater now. It feels like a new engine.
Also got the transmission fluid and filter changed out a month ago, and now the trans is shifting perfectly. I'm going to do one last drain and fill next month just to be sure I got all the old crap out.
Inside the car I got some seats out of a 1990 244, no longer have easy access to the rear seats, but no one is ever back there. I also got the door panels ready to be wrapped in new leather/vinyl, which ever I can afford. I'm thinking of going all black with white accents inside the car.
Now here are the few issues I have as to date.
The AC system is draining properly out of the drain hole, but going around a sharp right hand turn and your foot gets ice cold water on it, and on the passanger side there is a drip of cold water. I think I found the pass. side problem, it just need some new insulation sealant (the black sticky crap). But the drivers cold feet is another mystery.
The other issue is when that water splashed on my foot, the Door Buzzer or what ever it is called (the one that makes that annoying buzz sound when you leave your key in the car, or the seat belt light is on) decided to crap out, and now it constantly buzzes.
I don't know the exact name, nor the part number to get the new one from autozone.
Anyone got advice on the ac thing and a part number for the annoying buzzer?
Thanks,
Steven

What a fun project, you gave me daydreams of finding a 242 to drive/improve while I read your post. Post a photo of it when you get a chance. Very cool stuff!
As for the parts you're looking for, sorry I don't know, but post a new topic for each and your chances of a reply will go up a bit.
